Aquarium Restaurant
Houston
At a glance
Aquarium Restaurant sits inside Downtown Aquarium at 410 Bagby Street in Houston, combining a full-service meal with an aquarium setting. Dining tables are arranged around a floor-to-ceiling, 150,000-gallon tank, creating a setting where aquatic life remains part of the meal rather than a separate exhibit.
The tank houses more than 100 species from around the world. Reticulated rays, moray eels, giant groupers, shovel-nosed guitarfish and a Napoleon wrasse are among the animals associated with the dining environment. The arrangement gives diners views into the underwater habitat from the restaurant seating area.
The menu covers several familiar dining styles, with seafood specialties alongside steaks, chicken, salads and pasta. Dessert options are also available, and separate cocktail and kids menus add flexibility for different types of outings. The range suits casual family meals, aquarium visits and groups looking for a distinctive setting for lunch or dinner.
The second-floor Dive Lounge provides a separate bar setting for relaxing before dinner or heading toward the Theater District. Outside, refreshments are offered at kiosks during events and rides, including margaritas, daiquiris, beer, hot dogs, nachos, cotton candy and combo meals. These outdoor offerings complement the restaurant rather than replacing its aquarium-centered dining room.
Aquarium Restaurant also supports private and organized occasions through catering, group events, banquets and meetings. Dining reservations, delivery and pickup are available as separate services. Restaurant hours are distinct from the hours for the aquarium exhibits and rides, so a planned visit benefits from checking the dining schedule and arranging a reservation in advance.
